Surviving The Sale Process as a Family
Once you put your house on the market you are living in a Show Home. Family life does need to continue as normally as possible during the for sale period.
If you have young children with lots of toys and play equipment try to restrict them to one room, either their bedroom or a designated playroom/area. This will reduce the stress of trying to keep the house tidy all the time and allow the children to still have space to play.
Invest in a garden rake that can be used to quickly tidy the toys into a pile in the corner for an emergency tidy-up.
During an open home the play area should be tidy but don't worry too much during other inspections. As long as it is not too messy and is not dirty an untidy playroom will not put people off. Most people have had children and are very understanding.
